Granger, Ernest A. : Ernest A. Granger, 70, of Fairmont Ave., died at 2:08 p.m. Monday afternoon at Good Samaritan Hospital where he had been a patient for the past nine weeks, suffering from uremic poisoning. A lifelong resident of Muskingum County, he was the son of the late Samuel and Mary Allen Granger and was a retired employee of the American Rolling Mill Company. For the past several years he had made his home with his sister, Mrs. E. P. Barr, Fairmont Ave. He was a member of the Methodist Church and had lived a consistent Christian life. Surviving are three sisters and three brothers; Mrs. W. P. Barr and Mrs. George D. Brown, this city; Mrs. Howard Hale, South Zanesville; Edwin W. and L. M. Granger of the Adamsville Rd.; and C. E. Granger of this city. The body rest at the Mader-Peoples Funeral Home where services will be conducted at a time to be announced later. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Grashel, Robert L. : Funeral service for Robert L. Grashel Sr., 80, of Slocum Station, Sciotoville is to be at 2 p.m. Friday at Don Wolfe Funeral Home in Sciotoville. A native of Scioto County, he died Monday at Scioto Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. A retired paymaster for Empire-Detroit Steel Corp., he was a member of Sciotoville Christian Church and York Rite, was a 50 year member and past master of Western Sun Masonic Lodge 91 and was a graduate of Portsmouth College of Business. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Wanda Dever Grashel; two sons, Robert L. of Granville and James C. of Sciotoville and four grandchildren. Arthur Marcum, minister is to officiate at services, with interment in Memorial Burial Park. Masonic service is to be at 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, where friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from noon until the funeral hour Friday.

Green, Benjamin: Benjamin Green, 99, Bethesda, died Tuesday evening, October 20, 1987 in Barnesville Health Care Center. He was born Dec 9, 1887 in Muskingum Co., son of the late Thomas and Allie Miller Green. A retired Baptist minister, he also served as a missionary for the West Virginia Fundamental Baptist Mission. He was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church of Clarksburg, WV. His wife, Lillie Rymer Green, preceded him in death, as well as a brother, James Green. Surviving are three sons, Benjamin Jr. of Clarksburg, WV., Roy of Denver, CO., and James Carroll of Virginia Beach, VA.; three daughters, Virginia M. Sullivan, Bethesda, Mrs. Mary E. Bolton of Winston-Salem, NC. and Mrs. Martha L. Moore of San Diego, CA.; 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Services were held Friday from the Kelly-Kemp Funeral Home, Bethesda, with Rev. John Jackson officiating. Burial followed in Morristown's Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the church or missionary of the donor's choice. Green, Mrs. Elsie: Mrs. Elsie Haggerty Green, 37, resident of 303 Public Rd., Yorkville, died Saturday at noon at her home. She was born in Glen Robbins, Feb 23, 1934, a daughter of Mrs. Violet Haggerty and the late Fred Haggerty. She was a member of St. Lucy's Catholic Church of Yorkville. Surviving in addition to her mother, are her husband, John; three daughters and two sons, Patricia, Sharon, Jackie, Sam and Danny, all of the home; one grandchild; two sisters, Mrs. Thelma Morelli, Glen Robbins and Mrs. Rachel Hudock, Yorkville; two brothers, Robert of Yorkville and William with the U.S. Army in Korea; step grandmother, Mrs. Mae Kirkpatrick of Yorkville. Friends are being received at the Van Hove Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Father Tullio Blasi officiating. Green, Samuel A. : Samuel A. Green, 78, a lifelong citizen of this community was buried Tuesday afternoon at Wesley Chapel Cemetery. A short service was held at the late home followed by additional services at the Wesley Church in charge of Rev. Bloor of the Belmont Methodist Church. Deceased was born July 22, 1865, a son of Henry and Mary Cameron Green. He is survived by his widow and the following children: Walter A. Green, Lamira; Cyril Green and Mrs. Gladys Weatherwax, Reynoldsburg; Herbert E. Green, Cleveland. Also two sisters, Mrs. Belle Crow, Bellaire and Mrs. Elizabeth Lynn, Newark and one brother, E. W. Greenlee, Deborah Sue: Deborah Sue Greenlee, 18, Route 1, Jerusalem, died Sunday, September 16,1979 in Barnesville Hospital. She was born June 26, 1961 in Wheeling, WV., a daughter of Dan and Sue Fulton Greenlee. She was an employee of the Malaga Greenhouse, a member of the Woodsfield United Methodist Church and a 1979 graduate of Beallsville High School. She is survived by her parents; a sister, Julie, at the home; her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Fulton, Belmont; and her paternal grandmother, Mrs. Carolyn Greenlee, Barnesville. Friends were received at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home, Woodsfield, Monday where services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. Burial was in the Oaklawn Cemetery, Woodsfield. Gregg, Carroll Lewis: Carroll Lewis Gregg, 79, Belmont-Morristown Rd. Belmont, died Tuesday, June 8, 1999 at the East Ohio Regional Hospital at Martins Ferry. He was born June 28, 1919 in Belmont, a son of the late Grover and Adeline Kemp Gregg. He was a retired farmer, a member of the Belmont United Methodist Church, Bethesda-Belmont-Morristown Rotary Club, Hazen Lodge 251 F & AM of Bethesda and an Army veteran of World War II. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret Wright Gregg; a sister, Velma Moore; a brother, Harold Gregg. Surviving are his wife, Wilma Hunt Gregg; five stepchildren, Cathy Wickens and Shirley Wright, both of Belmont, Jay Wright of Walbridge, Beverly Ault of Belmont and Robin Duvall of Bethesda; seven grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. John (Louise) Lewis of Belmont; a brother Vernon Gregg of Belmont. Gregg, Margaret Fitch: Margaret Fitch Gregg, 73, of Gregg Road, Belmont, died Wednesday June 27, 1984 in Mount Carmel Hospital, Columbus. She was born June 7, 1911 at Centerville, the daughter of the late James and Minnie Mechen Fitch. She was a member of the Belmont United Methodist Church, Belmont American Legion Auxiliary and the Senior Citizens. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Wayne Wright in 1959. Surviving are her husband, Carroll Gregg; two daughters, Shirley Wright and Cathy Emory, both of Belmont; a son, James C. Wright of Oregon, Ohio; a brother, Charles Fitch, Bethesda; and two grandchildren. Services were held from the Kelly-Kemp Funeral Home, Bethesda, on Saturday morning at 11 o'clock. Rev. Gregg, Rachel Nelson: Rachel Nelson Gregg, 90, Bethesda, died Thursday, Aug 20, 1987 in Bell Nursing Home, Morristown. She was born May 28, 1897 in Bellaire, a daughter of the late Robert Smiley and Cordelia Robinson Nelson. She attended Bethesda S. Main Street Church of Christ. Her husband, Allen Gregg, a brother, and two sisters preceded her in death. Surviving are a son, Gordon of Bethesda; a daughter, Ruth Craig, Bethesda; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services were held Sunday afternoon from the Kelly-Kemp Funeral Home, Bethesda, with Brother Stan Kirtlan officiating. Burial followed in Ebenezer Cemetery.

Griffin, Mrs. Margaret Elizabeth: Word has been received from San Francisco of the death of Mrs. Margaret Elizabeth Rutter Griffin on Friday, June 21, 1968. She was born in Sunderland, England on September 30, 1877, a daughter of John F. and Mary Ann Rutter, and came as a young girl to Barnesville. In 1894 she was married to Frank Griffin. Survivors include four children Mrs. Charles Heizer of Eureka, Robert Griffin of San Francisco, California, Mrs. H. E. Nuss of San Diego, California and Frank Griffin Jr. of Ridgecrest, California; tow sisters, Mrs. V. C. Collins of Barnesville and Mrs. Charles Woodland of Columbus and one brother, Arthur Rutter of Clarksburg, WV. Her husband, parents, one brother, John Rutter and an infant granddaughter Martha Elizabeth Heizer, preceded her in death. Private funeral services were held Monday, June 24th in San Francisco, conducted by the Reverend Max Christensen, Rector of St. James Episcopal Church. Grimm, Orlando B. : Funeral services will be held at the home Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock for Orlando B. Grimm, 51, who died very suddenly Monday afternoon. Although he had not been well for a few days his death was a great shock. The Rev. Robert L. McIntire, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Times Recorder, 19 Feb 1942

Guard, George W. : Funeral services for George W. Guard, 75, will be held Friday afternoon from the residence of his brother, William Guard, of Licking View, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. The body has been returned to the brother's residence from the William Thompson & Son Funeral Home, White Cottage. Times Recorder, 16 Jun 1944

GUYTON, Mark : Mark GUYTON was born in Perry county, Ohio, January 17, 1847, and departed this life, Jun 27, 1906, aged 59 years, 5 months and 10 days.
When ten years old, with his parents, he moved to near Ada, Hardin county, Ohio. On December 27, 1868 was married to Leucrecia Grubbs. To this union was born four daughters and one son. In 1871 he moved to his late residence at which place he lived until death. On March 17, 1892, the companion of his youth was called to her eternal home. On March 23, 1895, was united in marriage to Miss Sarah AUSTIN, who survives him. He enlisted in the U.S. army during the Civil war, January, 1864, and remained in said until the war closed. He united with the Lafayette Christian church during the pastorate of Rev. C. J. Hance, February 25, 1891, in whose fellowship he continued a faithful and consistent member until death. He was loved and respected by all who knew him. He endured his affliction with much patience and Christian fortitude, leaving a satisfactory assurance that all was well with his soul. He leaves a wife, four daughters and one son, one step-daughter, five brothers and one sister; 16 grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren and many friends to mourn his early departure.
