Halberg, Arlisle "Arlie" (Spencer): Funeral services for Arlisle "Arlie" (Spencer) Halberg, 76, former Columbia Falls resident of Kalispell will be held in United Methodist Church of Columbia Falls. She died Friday in Seattle WA (Sept 1993) She was born Nov 8, 1916 in Colby Wisconsin to Edward and Clara Henkel. At age two, she moved with her family to Loyal, Wisconsin where she received her education. The family moved to Kalispell and later returned to Wisconsin. She married Alvin Spencer in 1936 in Madison Wisconsin. He preceded her in death. The family returned to Kalispell in 1941. She married Wilbur Halber in 1966 in Kalispell. The couple lived south of Columbia Falls, in the Bad Rock area, for 23 years. Due to ill health, he moved to the Immanuel Lutheran Home and she mved outside of Kalispell to be ner her daughter. He died in August 1993. Survivors include two daughters: Carol Shrade and Eleanor Yaranon; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; a brother Fred Henkel and numerous other relatives. Buriel in Conrad Memorial Cemetery follows service.

Hall, J. C. : J. C. Hall, 87, of Quaker City, died in St. Francis Hospital in Cambridge Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock. He had resided in Quaker City his entire life. Surviving the deceased are his wife, and four children, Frank N. Hall of the home; John W. Hall of Barnesville, Alfred M. Hall of Columbus and Basil Hall of Barnesville; one brother, C. C. Hall of Cambridge and two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Heston of Quaker City and Mrs. Melissa Moore of Cambridge. One daughter, one son, one brother and four sisters are deceased. The deceased had been a member of Quaker City F. & A. M. No 500 for 57 years and for 20 years had been a member of the Bell Telephone Pioneers Association. Funeral services will be conducted from the Eberle Funeral Home in Quaker City, Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock with burial in Green Lawn Cemetery in Quaker City. Hall, Levi :    Levi Hall, 87, prominent retired farmer and oil operator of the Macksburg community, died Monday night in Memorial Hospital, Marietta. Mr. Hall was a member of Aurelius Lodge, F. & A. M., Macksburg, a member of the American Union, Chapter No. 1, Royal Arch Masons, and was said to be the oldest member of the Marietta Commandery Knights Templar. He was affiliated with the Jackson grange at Crooked Tree, the Good Hope Baptist Church and the Sons of the American Revolution. Surviving are two sons, Joseph R. Hall, Macksburg, with whom he made his home and Luther Hall, Grand Bay , Ala. His wife, Mrs. Susan Kirkpatrick Hall, preceded him in death. Funeral services were held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Good Hope Baptist Church, with Rev. C. C. Cobb, pastor of the Good Hope Church, officiating. Burial was made in the Good Hope Cemetery. Hall, Mrs. Rebecca : Word was received in Zanesville yesterday of the death of Mrs. Rebecca Hall, 61, which occurred last Wednesday at her home in Guardian, WV. Surviving are her husband, Levi Hall, eight daughters, Mrs. Earl Ellis, Mrs. Roy Moyer, Mrs. Herbert Hamilton, all of Zanesville; Mrs. Edward Kockenour of Buckhannon, WV., Mrs. Elmer Haymond of Gaines, WV., Mrs. Gordon Carpenter of St. Albans, WV., Mrs. Ray Markley of Diana, WV., and Mrs. Lula Carter of Guardian, WV., and four sons, Earl Hall of Guardian, Walter, Leonard and Miller all serving in the U.S. Army; two sisters, Mary Conrad, Washington DC and Anna Macie of Diana, WV., and one brother, Jack Perrine of Diane, WV. She has one son-0in-law, Corporal Earl E. Ellis of Zanesville who is with the army somewhere in England. Also surviving are 34 grandchildren. Funeral services were held last Friday afternoon at the home. Times Recorder, 07 Jun 1944

Hammond, Mrs. Clarence : Rev. C. K. McGeorge, pastor of the First U. P. Church, conducted funeral services Wednesday at 2 p.m. for Mrs. Clarence Hammond at the family home on Wall Ave., where death occurred Sunday night. Burial was made in Northwood Cemetery. Jeffersonian, 18 Mar 1942 pg. 5

Hanes, Howard H.: Howard H. Hanes, well known resident of Woodsfield Road, R.D. 1, Barnesville, passed away at the Barnesville Hospital at 7:42 Tuesday evening, August 11th. He was born in Kirkwood Township, October 30, 1909, a son of the late H. G. and Linnie Armstrong Hanes. Mr. Hanes was employed as a State Inspector with the Division of Food and Dairies. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Friendship Lodge No. 89, F and AM and Belmont Grange No. 889. Surviving are his wife, Martha of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Nancy Wildman, Barnesville and Miss Linda Rae Hanes of Victoria, Texas; two sons, Hugh Hanes of Victoria Texas, and Martin P. Hanes of Clinton Maryland; five grandchildren and one brother, Paul Hanes of Newark, Ohio. One son, Phillip preceded him in death in 1965. The remains were taken to the Campbell-Plumly Funeral Home where friends will be received after 1 p.m., today. Masonic services will be held at 7:30 this evening. Final rites will be held at the funeral home Friday afternoon, August 14th at 1 o'clock with the Reverend Roy M. Hilliard in charge. Interment will be made in Crestview Cemetery. Hansen, Arthur H.: Arthur Herbert Hansen, an electronics firm executive and former president of the Cape Cod chapter of the National Parkinson Foundation, died Tuesday at Pleasant Bay Nursing Home in Brewster of Parkinson's disease. He was 79. Mr. Hansen, of Brewster, was born and raised in East Boston. He served in the Navy during World War II, returning to Boston and attending Northeastern University. Mr. Hansen graduated in 1948 with a degree in electrical engineering.
He then went to work for Westinghouse in New York, where he met his wife, Jenny Olsen. The two married in 1951, and they settled in Ridgewood, N.J., and had three children. Mr. Hansen founded his own electronics firm, Hansen Associates, and later became a managing partner in another firm, Hansen & Hughes. For nearly a decade, Mr. Hansen was also a director of one of the Northeast's largest electronics trade shows. He moved to Cape Cod with his wife in 1992. He enjoyed boating, bowling, bridge, golf, and tennis. In his 70s, Mr. Hansen was a regular at an annual family softball game. In addition to his wife, he leaves a son, David of Wyckoff, N.J.; two daughters, Linda Simmons of Hockessin, Del., and Heidi Beach of Sharon; a brother, Henry of Fort Meyers, Fla.; and six grandchildren. A funeral will be held today at 2 p.m. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Harwich. Burial will be in Brewster Cemetery. Boston Globe, 10 Dec 2004

Harbin, Obe : Last rites for Obe Harbin, native and former resident of Noble County, who died in Baltimore, MD., Thursday was held at his home in Cambridge, Monday at 2 p.m. followed by burial in Northwood Cemetery, that city. Mr. Harbin was born at Whigville, 13 miles east of Caldwell where he resided until going to Cambridge 15 years ago. For the past few years he had been employed with the B & O Railroad in Baltimore. He was married in 1901 to Miss Bertha Craft, also of Noble County, who survives with the following children; Charles of Cambridge, William of Wyandotte, Mich., Mrs. Mildred Kesterton of the home Mrs. Pearl Conrath, Clyde and Carl of Cambridge; Mrs. Gladys Householder of Lamira and Walter and Margaret of the home. A granddaughter, Phyllis Burris who was raised in the home, also survives and ten other grandchildren. The Journal, 24 Feb 1944

Harbold, Edith L.: Edith L. Harbold, 84, 127 Cemetery Ave., Barnesville, died Saturday evening, June 18, 1988 at Barnesville Hospital. She was born June 29, 1903 in Jerusalem, a daughter of the late George H. and Ida Kinney Powell. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Three brothers and two sisters preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, Chester, two brothers, Emerson Powell of Bethesda and Hugh Powell of Massillon; several nieces and nephews. Services will be held this afternoon, June 22 at 1 o'clock from the Campbell-Plumly Funeral Home with Evangelist James Gallagher officiating. Burial will follow in Westlawn Cemetery at Newcomerstown. Harbourt, Jeannette: Jeannette Harbourt, 67, of Pine View Drive, Belmont Died Saturday morning at Barnesville Hospital. She was born May 16, 1922 at Morristown, a daughter of the late Charles and L. Pearl Lynn. She was a retired owner-operator of Scotty's Night Club at Morristown. She was a member of the Morristown United Methodist Church and St. Clairsville Eagles. Surviving are one son, Richard L. of Belmont; two sisters, Elsie Petticord of Bethesda and Sarah Hines of Glencoe; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Kelly-Kemp Funeral Home Bethesda, today 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. where services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. Burial follows in Morristown Cemetery. Harig, Helen E: Helen E. Harig, 82, of 2066 Fillmans Bottom Rd. Port Washington, died Friday, August 9, 1996, in Twin City Hospital. She was born Sept 10, 1913, in Stone Creek, a daughter of the late Isaac and Jesse Elwood Devore. She was a member of Midvale V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary. Surviving are her husband, William Harig, whom she married December 28, 1954; a son, Joe Skinner of Zanesville, OH; a daughter, Mrs. Larry (Kathie) Hawkins of Midvale; tow sisters Mrs. Betty Miller of New Philadelphia and Mrs. Alfred (June) Farquahr of Zanesville OH; a brother George Devore of Iowa; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters and seven brothers. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, August 12, 1996, in Naylor Funeral Home at New Philadelphia, with Elder Glenn Carlisle officiating. Burial will be in East Avenue Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 in the funeral home.

Harper, Carrie Elizabeth: Carrie Elizabeth Harper passed away Saturday, November 5 at 7:50 pm at her home on Sandy Ridge. Her death bereaves her husband, Samuel Harper of the home, seven children, Ammon Lawrence Harper of Canton, Mrs. Mary Belle Ault of Beallsville; Mrs. Nellie Ruth Benson of Chestnut Level, Mrs Pearl Bailey of Canton, Charles James Harper of the home, Mrs. Ellen Kinney of Armstrongs Mills, Mrs. Gerogia Croston of the home, 13 grandchildren and one brother, Roy Hunt of Hunter. Mrs. Harper was born in Belmont County on January 28, 1884, the daughter of Ammon and Sarah Powell Hunt. She was a member of the Mt. Horeb Methodist Church. A brief funeral service was held Tuesday at 1 at Campbell's Funeral Home, followed by services at the Mt. Horeb Church with Rev. Charles N. Jarrett pastor of the First Christian Church, officiating. Burial was made in Mt. Horeb Cemetery.

Harrod, Abram : Abram Harrod, died this morning at 4:15 o'clock, at the home of his granddaughter, Mrs. R.T. KUHNS, 748 West High Street. His death was caused from paralysis from which he has suffered for the past five months. He was born in Mercer County, April 27, 1850 and at the time of his demise, he had reached the age of 67 years.
Previous to his illness he had occupied a position as a traveling salesman with a prominent firm, which position he held for a number of years. At one time he was county recorder for Allen County and will be remembered by a large number of friends. Besides his granddaughter with whom he lived, two sons, Robert of Kansas City, Kansas and Burt, of Hayward, Calif., are surviving relatives. The burial services will be held from the late residence on High street, Thursday morning at 10 o'clock. Rev. M. B. FULLER, of the Methodist Church, will conduct the services and interment will be made in Woodlawn cemetery. Lima Daily News, 31 Jul 1917

Hart, Mrs. Anna Hart : Mrs. Anna Hart, 88, colored and widow of a Civil War veteran, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William Singer, Beatty Ave., Wednesday, October 18, 1944. Held in the highest esteem by residents of Cambridge, her death was sudden although she suffered a stroke some time ago and never rallied. Before coming to live in Cambridge 12 years ago, Mrs. Hart lived in Wilmington. Her husband died 53 years ago after service in the Civil War. Member of the A.M.E. Church in Wilmington, brief services will be conducted Friday morning at 10:00 o'clock at the Singer home with Rev. Frank B. McDonald in charge. Additional services will be held Saturday afternoon in Quinn Chapel, A.M.E. Church, Wilmington, with burial in Sugar Grove Cemetery, there. The body was returned to the Singer home from the Scott Funeral Home Thursday. Mrs. Hart was born in Louisville, Ky., the daughter of John and Catherine Bishop. In addition to Mrs. Singer she is survived by a step-son, Frank Hart of Dayton, and four grandchildren. A brother, John Bishop, of Springfield also survives. Times Recorder, 20 Oct 1944

Hart, Laura: Laura Patterson Hart, 93, of RD 1 Belmont, died Friday in Barnesville Hospital. She was born Oct 1, 1897 near Bethesda, a daughter of the later Frank and Florilla Pancoast Patterson. She was a member of the Concord Presbyterian Church of Centerville, Weyer Chapter 515 Order of Easter Star and Belmont American Legion Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Staley W. Hart; two sisters; one brother. Surviving are two sons, Francis Hart of Belmont and Gerald Hart of Pine, AZ., two daughters Mrs. Roy (Barbara) Christy of Phoenix AZ. and Mrs. Austin (Lela) Green of Alachoa, FL.; 18 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Kelly-Kemp Funeral Home, Bethesda today 7 to 9 p.m.  and Monday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. where services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dan Aderholt officiating. Burial follows in Concord Cemetery, Centerville. Eastern Star Services Monday at 7 p.m. in the funeral home. Hastings, Rachael : Mrs. Rachael Fowler Hastings, 78, passed away at her home in Reinersville, Monday evening at 8:43, succumbing to a lingering illness. The deceased was the daughter of Daniel and Mary Gregg Fowler, one of the earliest settlers of eastern Morgan County. She was united in early life to Adam Hastings, who preceded her in death a number of years ago. She was a member of the M. P. Church and was an untiring worker in this respect. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 from the Cross Road Church near Reinersville, burial being made in the church cemetery by Mills and Wheeler. Rev. James officiated. There are no children surviving, one daughter, Ora, preceding her in death four years ago, two brothers, M. L. Fowler of Reinersville and Nathan Fowler of Ashtabula, two sisters, Mrs. John Lowe and Mrs. Ella Smith of Reinersville, survive in addition to five grandchildren. Journal, 28 Jun 1934 pg. 5
